1960's 1970's 1980's 1990's 2000's Today
The company grew steadily from its first beginnings and began exporting to Australia extensively from the early 1970’s with Meyers and David Jones becoming its major customers along with numerous specialist retailers. In the 1980’s Stylish entered the American export market and supplied Major Department Stores such as Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom’s and over 40 specialist boutiques under the L’Officiel brand.
As the fashion industry evolved into the 1990’s and the removal of tariffs on clothing and footwear Stylish once again had to adapt to the changes facing the industry. NZ made was no longer competitive and off-shore production became the norm.
New labels were introduced. Diamo was the first and became famous for its Knitwear. Today the Decisions, Attitude and Visions all have a major
brand image in the overall Collections offered by Stylish Clothing.
What Stylish Clothing has been able to achieve and establish over its years of trading history is a total lifestyle approach to fashion as it constantly changes from one season to the next.
The Stylish customer is compelled by a sense of style and sophisticated elegance that her purchased garments give her pleasure for many years.
